VerifiedWent there cause they have a name in the market however had a bad experience. Wanted to make a ring with a gemstone that we had of our own, the moment they knew we didn't purchase from them the lady behind the counter started with all terms and conditions of informing me that stone could break in the process and they will not be held responsible. Upon asking the percentage of this possibility she said 20-30%.Staff was not at all interested further to serve us. So walked out.Thos is not how the original WHP used to be!

VerifiedIt’s well known experience which many people must have had at least once, store persons are more focused on large orders. This review may not matter but it’s a suggestion to focus on small customers who are intending to buy regular wear jewellery more often than buying gold which costs lakhs of rupees and which will actually sum up to lakhs of rupees. There is always a discrimination based on how we dress, who is accompanying us etc. I will not visit this store again, I have bought gold multiple times from this store since I have shifted to thane. But off course person wearing casual clothes (sober denim and T-shirt) and came to buy gold randomly will not be taken as valuable customer.” Correct? Simplicity is sophistication so focus on customers who are demanding simple jewellery, there is nothing wrong in it. First time I have seen a sales person is not at all interested in lifting the boxes of earrings and show some more. As soon as couple in traditional clothes come sales person becomes active. Before this, I had experience of being least bothered about what we are looking for. It was my last visit to this store for sure. Politeness doesn’t cost anything. It’s not a surprise but straight discrimination based on judgements.

VerifiedPethe Sons not carrying on any legacy. The original WHP stores which we regularly visit since generations have excellent customer service. They do not discriminate on any basis and provide respect and attention to all customers. My family has been customers of original Waman Hari Pethe since past multiple generations. This needs to be emphasised. Because Pethe and Sons DO NOT carry this legacy. We visited for the first time, and hence didn't want to commit to major purchases. The staff was not interested in us. We were dressed in regular daily clothes and I visited with my mom instead of the "socially accepted" "husband". Maybe the staff assumes that 2 women will not spend enough and a man is needed for making major purchases. Get your head out of the gutter. We are in the 21st century and these people still judge based on gender and clothes. I am going all the way to Mulund or Borivli even to the original WHP stores. Never again will I visit Pethe Sons. Horrible customer service and staff are snobs. Your Thane store just lost a good customer because I have plans to make bigger purchases and they surely won't be wasted on you guys. Apart from uppity staff, the collection is poor. Designs are outdated and boring. If there are modern and better designs available, they were not shown to us since they largely ignored us. For anyone interested, we went to the Thane Dosti Imperia store.
