The staff is hospitable and also, knowledgeable. Special mention to Ali the hairstylist who knows what he does and why he does. However, would hold back the remaining 2.5 stars for the value for money. The staff seems to be very well trained on manipulating the customers to avail services of the highest value as much as possible, to an extent where it actually does not make sense anymore what the requirements of the customer are. So much of pitching higher value services to the customer spoils the entire customer experience and no matter how expert the services were, it definitely leaves a bitter taste. He’s fast, efficient, and courteous. I also come on occasion for facials, waxing and threading from Kamlesh, who does a fabulous and thorough job. I walk out feeling so relaxed. The team is welcoming and helpful always. What puzzled me was the discrepancy in prices between a haircut and a beard trimming. They charged 350+GST for a haircut and 300+GST for a beard trim. It made me wonder if the effort required for both services was the same. Paying such a high price for a beard trim, in particular, was surprising to me. Another aspect that left me taken aback was the way the salon staff initiated the conversation. The person addressing me started by asking where I had gotten my haircut before. Their body language implied that they believed I had received a subpar haircut elsewhere. While I understand the intention of promoting their own services, it would have been more respectful to refrain from making assumptions and focus on providing a positive experience. What further disappointed me was the constant insistence on other services. The staff member repeatedly mentioned that there were pimples on my face and suggested I should get a facial.
