Salon Franchises Under 1 Crore

Based on current active listings on Bewtee, the minimum total investment to open a salon franchise in India starts at N/A. This initial capital typically covers interior fit-outs, essential salon equipment, initial product inventory, and localized launch marketing. On the other end of the spectrum, premium or luxury brands can require an investment of up to ₹ 150M, which accounts for high-end aesthetics, larger floor spaces, and prime real estate locations.

Initial franchise fees for Indian salons typically range from ₹ for emerging or budget-friendly chains, up to ₹ 30M for highly established, premium brands. It is important to note that this one-time fee grants you the legal right to use the brand's trademark, their standard operating procedures (SOPs), and initial staff training. This fee is a separate component from your total setup cost and ongoing monthly royalties.

Commercial space requirements vary strictly by the franchisor's specific business model and the services offered. Compact express setups or specialized studios (like nail bars or men's grooming) can start at just 20 Sq. Ft. However, comprehensive, full-service unisex salons generally require up to 10000 Sq. Ft. to comfortably accommodate multiple styling stations, private spa and facial rooms, waiting lounges, and staff break areas.

The industry standard term duration for a salon franchise agreement in India is typically 5 years. This timeframe is strategically set by franchisors to allow franchise owners ample time to break even and realize a steady, long-term return on investment (ROI). Once this initial term expires, the franchise agreement is generally subject to a mutual renewal process, provided the salon has maintained the brand's quality and service standards.
